Muhammad Qaysar Alam

Qaysar Alam is a distinguished supply chain leader and strategic advisor with over three decades of transformative experience in driving operational excellence and organizational growth. A significant portion of his career was spent at Unilever, where he served as Vice President of Supply Chain and also held seats on the Board of Directors. During his 29-year tenure, Mr. Alam was a key architect of the company’s modern supply chain infrastructure, spearheading large-scale SAP implementations across Pakistan and Bangladesh and leading a massive restructuring program that improved organizational agility by 35%. His expertise extends globally, having designed regional manufacturing excellence networks while based at Unilever Asia in Singapore.

Mr. Alam's professional journey is underpinned by a strong academic foundation from the University of Karachi, where he earned both his Bachelors (Chemistry) and Masters of Science (Applied Chemistry). This technical rigor has defined his approach to Manufacturing Excellence, where he is recognized as a JIPM-qualified TPM instructor and a seasoned TQM expert. His career is marked by a unique blend of industrial expertise and a deep commitment to people development through mentoring, coaching, and team leadership.

Currently, Mr. Alam continues to shape the industry as the President of the Supply Chain Association of Pakistan and through various board positions, including at GS1 and ISCAR Pakistan. Driven by a spirit of social responsibility, he also serves as the Vice President of the Karachi Vocational Training Center, demonstrating a consistent commitment to giving back to society. He balances his professional intensity with a lifelong passion for sports, a love for music, and an insatiable "addiction" to reading and collecting books.
